Wellllll, sometimes a person can sneak a quilt mistake by, but other times, uuuhhhh -- not so much! 8-)) Funny! Good thing you noticed BEFORE you quilted it. 8-))
Ah dear! You have made the mistake look lovely and neat though - the whole row is out! Hope the backwards sewing doesn't take too long! Post another photo when it's done. Sam xoxoxo
UGH! I'm always crushed when I find that I have done that. Keep your head up!
Many years ago I was making cross stitched family trees for gifts. Fortunately I was taking in-progress pictures to show my sister and realized I had misspelled one name. This was before the age of digital cameras so it was several days before I could see the developed pictures before I saw the mistake. I'm glad you had not quilted yet - this kind of frogging is *easy* to do.
I did that same thing last week and until I took the photo of it to post in my flicker acct., I didn't even notice 2 glaring errors of blocks being turned the wrong way!!! ;) Thank goodness you and I caught it before we started quilting them!!
I see you are a fan of FAIL blog: http://failblog.org/Maybe there should be just a quilter's fail blog.this is why I don't believe the nonsense about old quilters putting in a deliberate mistake so their quilt is not perfect. It's so easy to just do mistakes naturaly!
I actually like it. It is different, and more interesting!
You know I did not see it until you pointed it out.......it is just a beautiful quilt!Love it.....do you quilt on your home machine?Lovely soft colors.............Happy sewing
Too bad it wasn't right in the center of the quilt eh? Then you could have a new variation!! Love how the quilt looks though - the mistake...but it should be a quick fix though a pain!! I hate ripping. But, do it right away or you won't feel like it :-)
It's not a mistake, it's an artistic decision! I think it looks great....Reminds me of an argyle strip on a sweater!I think you should leave it!
I hate when I do that! Lane
its still a stunning quilt! (mauh) Liz
That always amazes me that the eye can't see something when looking at it, but put it on a computer screen and there it is!Looks great either way!
